Jean Zay WORKSHOP

IDRIS organises two sessions per year over two days aimed at helping:

  • new users of the machine to understand the computing environment (disk spaces, data management, SLURM submissions, monitoring of hour usage, best practices, ...)
  • with the porting and/or optimisation of codes on the Jean Zay machine.

The programme for this working session includes presentations at the beginning of the session (first half-day) on:

  • Jean Zay: the supercomputer
  • Jean Zay: the HPC side
  • Jean Zay: the AI side

The rest of the time will be devoted to working in small teams on codes and/or setting up work procedures. Participants will be supervised by members of the IDRIS User Support team (2 SU members per project).



Target audience

This session is aimed at all machine users, from beginners wishing to quickly start working on Jean Zay to more experienced ones wanting to optimise their applications.
