Objective: Change in Dynamic Access at GENCI
Addressed to: Holders of Dynamic Access projects

Hello,

You have a Dynamic Access (DA) project file on the Jean Zay supercomputer and we would like to inform you
that the conditions for Dynamic Access requests have changed.

Initially destined only for the Artificial Intelligence community using Jean Zay at IDRIS, we have now
enlarged this type of access to include all the Thematic Committees and all the machines of the three
national centres (CINES, IDRIS and TGCC).

Beginning on 10 January 2022, regardless of your scientific domaine, it will be possible for you to apply
for Dynamic Access (for requests ≤ 50 kh GPU / 500 kh CPU) at any time via a single form on eDARI, or for
Regular Access for larger requests.

Important points:

- Depending on the volume of requested resources, your dynamic access file can be renewed either in Dynamic
 Access or in Regular Access.
- If your resource request is inferiour to 50 kh GPU, there will be no change for the renewal or the creation
 of a new Dynamic Access.
- If your request is larger than this, the Regular Access procedure is applied (semi-annual allocation in May
and November; a more complete dossier for expert evaluation by the thematic committees). If the dossier is
presented by non-permanent personnel (master 2 or doctoral candidates), this person must transfer the
responsibility of the project to a permanent member of the research structure so that this member can make
the renewal request from his/her user space on the eDARI site.
- Finally, in order to be able to continue to work at the same pace while waiting for the evaluation of your
Regular Access file, you will benefit from transitional Dynamic Access.

All of these conditions are explained in the document, “Modalités d'accès aux ressources nationales” at the
 address http://www.genci.fr/sites/default/files/Modalitesdacces.pdf, chapter 2.2.

You can find all the general information and make your request for resources on the site www.edari.fr .

We remain at your disposal for further information (acces@genci.fr).

Best regards,
GENCI and the three national computing centres
