TINA: Restoring a previous version from a precise date

Here is the procedure for restoring one or more previous file versions from a given date.

When you click on the cross (+) to the left of your login in the tree hierarchy, you will see the present state of your file tree in your HOME.

We are going to search for a previous version using a given date.
If you know the date when the file was present on the system, you can choose this date and view the file system of that date.

To view the file system on a past date:

  1. In the Time Navigation area, click on Past. The file tree will be displayed showing only the directories and files backed up in the past.

  2. To select a specific date in the past, click on the small calendar button (inside the Time Naviation Area, on the right): The window “Date Selection” will appear.
  3. Using the displayed calendar, you may select a date. You may also adjust the hour.
Alternatively, you can click on the Select a date button to obtain the option Select from last backups and you can choose a backup date from the list.

  4. When you have selected the date, click on “OK” : The file tree which existed on your selected date will appear.

  5. Look through the file tree to find the file(s) you are searching.
  6. Tick the file(s) or directory(ies) you want restored.

  7. When Restore - Run has been selected, the window Restore - Parameters will appear.

  8. In this window, you may select the parameter options. Note: By default, the Original Directory option is selected as the destination for the restored file. We recommend that you select Other Directory and specify a new directory to avoid possibly overwriting an existing directory. Enter the entire path.

After you have chosen the parameters, click on “OK” to validate the operation. The Restore Information window will then appear.

The restoration can take several minutes before beginning (loading of cassettes into the robot). If this takes too long, consult "disponibilité des machines" (machine availability) on our WEB site.

The message Information - “Restore complete” is displayed when the operation has been completed.

-Confirm this by clicking on “OK”. Then “Close” the Restore Information window. The restoration procedure is now completed.
